About The Dividend Snowball

Hi, I’m Dionysis. I’m a software engineer and product manager originally from Greece, now based in the UK. I created The Dividend Snowball to document my journey building wealth through dividend and value investing—without the noise.

The European Investor’s Gap Most investing content online is either too broad, too hype-driven, or entirely US-centric. But if you’re investing from Europe, the reality is different. Broker access, tax treatments, ETF choices, and trade-offs require a different lens.

I wanted to build the site I couldn't find: a clear, data-grounded, practical resource tailored for European investors who want to build passive income.

The Snowball Philosophy The concept is simple: start small, reinvest the dividends, and let compounding do the heavy lifting. Over time, the income and the base grow until the momentum builds itself. That’s the snowball.

My investing approach leans heavily toward:

  • Long-term ownership over day-trading.
  • Dividend growth over chasing risky, high yields.
  • Genuine value over what is just optically cheap.
  • Process and simplicity over market prediction.

If you work in tech, think analytically, or just prefer patience over market drama, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Find Here I’m building this in public. You won't find breaking news, hot takes, or promises of overnight wealth. Instead, I share:

  • The Journey: Real numbers, real trade-offs, and lessons from my personal portfolio.
  • Analysis: ETF breakdowns, watchlists, and stock analysis.
  • Platform Insights: Broker observations and news relevant to income-focused European investors.
